Little Rock Star

Like most days with spina bifida..we have some good and some bad..never the same :) But either way we give God the glory! Arwen has been teething horribly with a fun sinus cold on top of it..so we have heard lots of screams, fits, and crying. But little miss even though having some down times has managed to take 2 whole steps with no braces or togs!! Amazing right? She hasn't had togs for balance for over a week now since her pt is sewing them up for her..so I was sure she would revert back to old ways quickly..but then again today in the middle of kitchen she got to squat position and almost stood up! She tried so hard..it was so super cute. But after a little help from mommy to pull up she then stood all alone with just her little braces and was grinning from ear to ear.

We were supposed to have her 18month check up tomorrow to talk about ng tube, drinking, cathing, ect..but we had some conflicts so that is a no go. She has been drinking somewhat more on her own if we do half pediasure half milk..but then doesn't drink as much water/juice combo. So we are still asking that you all pray she will drink more and more and more on her own so we can keep that icky ng tube and bad uti's away for good :)

We leave to go on Arwen's first camping trip this week. I hope we get her new awesome baby knee pads so that she can just crawl her little heart out. She loves the outdoors so I am sure she will have a blast with the kiddos. Adi and Noah love love to camp, but we haven't been since we had Arwen. So they are beyond ready to go.
