Arwen had a cystogram/vcug done today to test for reflux in her kidneys. She has always been negative so we weren't expecting any changes since it's pretty uncommon to get it if she hasn't had it by now. At least that's what we've been told by urology. Today's tests showed she had grade 1 reflux. The doc ran the test twice since she's never had it. She said It has a 97% rate of accuracy so now we're in the waiting game till tomorrow for plan. Grade 1 is not a huge deal but since she has had major bowel and bladder changes since December we will check with neurosurgery about possibly needing detethering surgery if she continues to be symptomatic.
Please be praying for wisdom as we go down this new path. Detethering is usually a long road of ups and downs that is not a path taken unless absolutely needed.
