Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your continual love and support for our family in the midst of Arwen's ongoing health trials. Appreciate Steve's sermon the other day on reminding us that the Lord provides us His peace through each trial and triumph that Arwen has and we give God the glory for it all.
Some of you have asked about visiting us in the hospital and the kids. Feel free to come visit whenever.
For now, the hospital plan is that we show up around 11:30 am for surgery pre op then I assume sit with her in pre surgery waiting area till they take her back around 1. But her Neurosurgeon is notoriously 1-3 hours behind schedule so I wouldn't be surprised if she has to wait longer. Pray for her as she cannot eat or drink that day which will be hard on her physically and emotionally. All of the anxiety brought on by waiting takes a huge toll on her already.
I assume we will then wait in the main surgery waiting area during the actual surgery. It should take 2 to 4 hours depending on how much scar tissue there is. She will be at downtown Children's Mercy from Friday till late Monday/early Tueaday as far as we know but will have to take one day at a time and see how her body responds. I will keep her Facebook page updated.
