Ups and Downs

As I am reading through this devotional book by Tim Keller I am daily reminded that I cannot do things on my own and it is only by the mercy of God that I am saved. Life is not always easy, but my heart and lifestyle should always reflect the Gospel in every aspect.
I love being a stay at home mom and homeschooling my children, but it is not always easy. As i am reminded of each day lol. Adi and i tend to butt heads quite a bit but thankfully with God's help I am able to take a deep breath and try to show her patience and love through my actions and words. Not always an easy task that I achieve, but still try to aim for. Adison has always been ahead of the game when it comes to learning and knowing how to do things, so now that she is coming up against challenges in school work she just doesn't know how to cope with it. So we are really trying to work those kinks out. Overall though she is doing above and beyond more than i expected this year. I am so proud of her.
Noah may be a huge challenge next year with a full pre-k curriculum ha so i am praying hard now lol. He is just a typical little boy who doesn't want to sit still and pay attention to detailed work..so God will really be testing my teaching and patience haha! But i am exicted to see how God is going to work through him during all of that.
Arwen has been a little impatient pill this past week. Not sure if teeth, shots, or another UTI creeping up. I accidentally forgot 1 dose of suppression antibiotcs last week and ever since middle of last week she hasn't been having as many wet diapers and won't drink her milk but half as many times. So I think it's a mixture of some of the above and spoiled rotten one year old tantrums lol. She seems to have a lot of highs and lows lately but I guess that's just any kid and add spina bifida to the mix and we have a lotta fun :)
She got her new braces and does really well with them except the toe strap didn't work the way we wanted so we had to take it out. And her derotation straps seemed to work really well, but started causing pinching like bruiseing behind her leg so we have to hold off till therapist looks at them this week. Her pt is also looking into getting a posterior walker in the coming weeks so we are excited to see how she does. Right now she doesn't even like to walk from living room to her room with help..so we'll see :)

Her MRI is next thursday and then clinic the week after, so we are hoping all of our bladder, leg muscle, and feet questions can get answered.
